Cloning a ZEC

If you would like to create a new ZEC with properties similar to those of an existing ZEC, you can use the Clone feature to simplify the process.

To Clone a ZEC:

  1. In the main navigation, click Zixi Edge Device.
  2. Select the ZEC that you would like to Clone (i.e. the ZEC already configured in ZEN Master which has setting similar to those that you would like to set for the new ZEC that you are creating). The ZEC full details are displayed.
  3. Click Clone button, located at the top. The Clone ZEC window is displayed with all fields other than Name populated with the configuration data of the original ZEC.
  4. In the Name field, enter the name of the new ZEC.
  5. Change any of the fields that you would like to configure differently than the original Feeder. See section ADDING A NEW ZEC.
  6. Click Save. The ZEC is configured and will remain in Pending state until you configure the initial connection to the ZEC, see the following section CONNECTING THE ZEC (ZEC UI).
