ZEN Master Grids provide a high density way to monitor resources and other objects that are configured in ZEN Master. Grids can be used both to monitor the current status of the objects as well as to show various status and configuration properties. The grid display is highly configurable, including what type of objects to display, what information is include in the status box for each object and the number of objects displayed per page. For Sources, there is an option to either display the standard “status” view or to display the “thumbnail” view (for a list of supported formats for thumbnail view, see Supported Formats for Thumbnail View).
You can filter the elements shown in a Grid by object type, object status, tags, name and state. Admin users have the option of making Grids available to the "public" (i.e. to all users who are authorized to view information about the relevant objects). You can also create Grid Groups to display several Grids together.
Grids enable you to concentrate key information about many different system elements in a single display. This can be useful in situations such as a NOC that is monitoring several different systems. You can monitor all activity in your ZEN Master network by displaying Grids on one or more dedicated screen displays. You can also set up a "penalty box" configuration, showing only objects that are in error state.
