The Maps screen show your Resources (Feeders, Broadcasters and Receivers) and other system objects (Sources and Targets) on a geographical map. By default, each object is represented by a marker which is automatically positioned on the map based on its IP address. You can manually adjust the marker positions either as part of the object configuration or while viewing the Map display. Communications between these objects are displayed as connecting lines showing the direction fo data flow. This is helpful for visualizing the interactions between objects in your network. It can also help to identify ways of using your network more efficiently.
For objects that don't have an external IP (e.g. UDP Targets sent to internal IPs) the marker's will initially be placed somewhere within the region specified as the "Default Region" in the Map configuration.
