Adding a New Automation Task Set

You can define a Task Set and include one or more tasks in the Task Set. You will then be able to schedule the precise times at which the set of Tasks will be executed. You will also be able to manually run the Task Set.

When you first define a new Task Set entity in ZEN Master it is just a "shell" with no Tasks assigned to it and no schedule for when it will be executed. You will then assign tasks to the Task Set and create schedules for when it will be run.

To create a new Task Set:

  1. In the Main Navigation, click Automation.
    The Automation screen opens.
  2. Click + Add.
The Create New Task Set window is displayed:

  3. In the Name field, enter a name for the new Task Set. Choose a name that is representative of the Tasks and Schedules that you plan to apply to the Task Set.
  4. In the Tags field, select one or more of the predefined Access Tags from the dropdown list. This will determine who is authorized to access this Task Set.
Tags are used for access control. By selecting a Tag you are relating this Task Set to that Tag. Tags are associated with certain roles (through the Users & Roles screen), and roles, in turn, are associated with users and user groups. If you would like to create a new Tag, see Creating a Tag.
  5. Click Save.
The new Task Set is created. You can now add one or more tasks and schedules to the Task Set.
