Generating Reports

Once you have a created a report configuration with your desired setting you can generate an actual report.

Before generating a report that is very comprehensive, consider the system resources that will be taken up by the report build and time required to execute it. Factors that increase the build time include; covering a long period of time, highly granular results, inclusion of multiple objects.

To generate a report:

  1. In the main navigation, click Reports.
    The Reports screen is displayed.
  2. Select the report that you would like to generate.
    The report details are shown at the right side of the screen.
  3. In the Info pane, click Generate Report.
    The Generate Report window is displayed. By default the Name for this run of the report is given as the <Report Name> followed by the current date in the format 'YYYYMMDD'. Also, by default the Time Period and Time Zone settings configured in the report configuration are applied to this run of the report.
  4. You can edit any of the fields as desired.
  5. Click Save.
    A new report run is generated. The new run is shown in the Run History tab for this report and can be downloaded from there.

    Depending on how comprehensive the report is, it may take a while to generate the report. While the report is being generated, the percentage completed is shown in the Status column in the Run History tab.
