Pre-requisites

To create a ZEN Master live event, one or more pre-configured failover channels is required. While a ZEN Master Live Event has a predefined start time and duration, the failover channel is persistent, and can be re-used for multiple events, such as a weekly sporting event, or remote news segment.

A Failover Channel consists of:

• Sources – One or more (i.e., redundant) content sources, such as the from-venue game feeds, or the package sports game playout, etc.
• Slate - A slate source consisting of either a local or remote transport stream file, or live zixi source.
• Targets – One or more pass-through channel supported targets
