Because SCTE-35 logging utilizes extensive resources, the default behavior is not to log SCTE-35 markers. If you would like to log SCTE-35 markers for a particular Source you need to activate SCTE-35 logging in the Source configuration and also in the Broadcaster cluster configuration of the Ingest Cluster that is being used.
If you also enabled receiving alerts for SCTE-35, alerts will be generated whenever ZEN Master identifies a problematic sequence of cues. The alerts will be shown in the Logs > Events screen.
To activate SCTE-35 logging:
- In the main navigation, go to Broadcasters.
- Select the desired Broadcaster you would like to start logging SCTE-35 markers and click Edit, or to create a new Broadcaster, click + Add.
- Fill in the configuration details as needed (see Adding a Zixi Receiver)
The Zixi Receivers are accessed by ZEN Master through an API. As part of the configuration process, you need to specify the API credentials for access and select one of the preconfigured remote access keys to enable SSH tunneling between the Zixi Receiver and ZEN Master. Access management and user permissions are managed through Access Tags. After adding a Zixi Receiver to ZEN Master, you will need to follow the procedure described in Configuring Tags. - Click Save.
