Muting Objects

Muting Objects

You can mute any object in the system (i.e. Feeder, Broadcaster, Receiver, Source, Channel or Target), stopping it from generating error notifications. You can mute the object permanently (i.e. until the mute is manually 'unmuted') or you can set a date and time when the mute will be automatically 'unmuted'.

Each type of object can be muted on the display screen for that object type, i.e. a Feeder can be muted on the Feeders screen and a Source can be muted on the Sources screen.

To mute an object:

  1. Go to the main screen for the desired object type.
  2. Select the desired object.
Details of the selected object are shown on the right side of the screen.
  3. Do one of the following actions:
    • To mute the object permanently, click Mute.
    • To mute the object temporarily, do the following procedure:
      1. Click on the down-arrow next to the Mute button and select Mute until.
        A calendar view is shown.
      2. Select the end date.
A list of times is shown.
      3. Select the end time.
      4. Click Mute.

To reactivate notifications:

  1. Go to the main screen for the object type of the muted object.
  2. Select the desired object.
Details of the selected object are shown on the right side of the screen.
  3. Click Unmute.
