Streaming Standard UDP from a Local Zixi Receiver

To play a Zixi stream already being pulled to a broadcaster that is local to your machine, you must first push the stream from your local Zixi Receiver or Broadcaster to the local host network by configuring the following parameters:

Once you are streaming to the localhost, Open VLC to play a standard UDP stream from the same local host and port. 

To play a UDP stream:

  1. Open VLC Player
  2. On the Main Menu, click Media
    Sub-menu options are displayed. 

  3. Click Open Network Stream.
  4. In the URL field, enter a UDP stream URL (e.g. udp://@127.0.0.1:your_specified_zixi_port)
  5. Click Play.
