Decryption Key | For playback of encrypted streams, enter the key provided by your administrator (see Playing an Encrypted Zixi Stream). |
Zixi Log Mode | This integer value sets the log entry level mode for Zixi stream messages. Available Options: Disabled (-1) Debug (0 or 1) Info (2) Warning (3) Error (4) Fatal (5). Note: Set only as disable unless debugging. Additional disk writes can affect memory and performance. |
Max Latency [ms] | The maximum latency in milliseconds of the Zixi stream over your local connection between the source Zixi Broadcaster and the VLC player. Increasing latency will add additional buffer space to compensate for network burst loss. |
Player Caching [ms] | The length, in milliseconds, of the VLC player cache. Using skip controls may cause the player to re-buffer. |
Drop Frames with Missing Data | In the case of data loss, when this option is turned on, any partial frames are removed by the Zixi Plug-In prior to forwarding to the player. This option can improve VLC stability. |
Fixed Latency | ‘On’ is recommended. Uses Max Latency specified when off, dynamically increases to Max Latency when on. |
Allow Latency to Decrease | ‘Off’ is recommended. Can dynamically lower latency when ‘On’ but may re-buffer if an increase is needed. |
Fixed end-to-end delay | When selected, this setting guarantees synchronization of all players having the same latency settings, regardless of their location. The latency settings sets the duration of the buffer size. This means that when enabling fixed end-to-end delay, the buffer will be slightly shorter, taking into account the propagation delay from the source, because the latency is from source to destination, instead of a local delay at the destination |
FEC Overhead [%] and FEC Blocksize [ms] | Do *not* alter. FEC settings are set automatically. These entries will be removed in future versions. |
