Creating a UDP Output in Feeder

The UDP output outputs the stream in UDP or RTP format over unicast or multicast.

To Create a UDP Output:

1. In the Outputs screen of Zixi Feeder, click the + New Output button in the menu bar.
   The New output window is displayed:

2. Type in the unique identifier for this output in the Name field.

3. From the Type drop-down list, select UDP Output.

4. From the Input Name drop-down list, select the desired input stream.

5. If the stream is a Multi Program Transport Stream and you want to stream a specific program, select the relevant Program from the drop-down list. Select Original to stream all the programs in the stream.

6. Within the selected program, you can stream specific PIDs by creating a Filter (see: Adding Filters to Input Stream (PID Filtering) section) and then selecting it from the Filter drop-down list. Select Original to stream all PIDs within the program

7. Specify the Properties (see Output Parameters Table below for additional parameters).

8. If you would like to add this stream to an Output Group, select an existing Group from the dropdown list OR create a new group by clicking . (see Output Parameters Table below for additional details).

9. In the Host field, specify the IP address of the stream destination.

10. In the Port field, specify the port of the destination.

11. In the NIC field, select the network card from which the stream will be transmitted.

12. Click OK.
    The new UDP Output with its settings is created and now appears on the Outputs screen.
