The follow key features were added to the transcoding feature in the V13 of the Zixi Broadcaster:

  • AAC-HE (High Efficiency) Audio Encoding

  • Audio sample rate conversion

  • AC-3 audio decoding

  • 10-bit HDR color encoding on NVIDIA

  • Color conversion from 10bpp to 8bpp

  • Cropping

  • Smooth frame rate conversion available for Intel Quick Sync, and X264 (NVIDIA was in v12)

  • Resolution downscaling using NVIDIA hardware with keeping aspect ratio

  • Resolution upscaling using NVIDIA hardware

  • SEI closed captions on HEVC streams

  • Interlaced encoding

  • MPEG2 decoding using NVIDIA hardware

  • Preserve captions and SCTE markers in framerate conversion
