The Events Profile

The rules that determine an objects escalation path and notification email are configured in the Events Profiles, which are found under the Configurations menu. Event Profiles contain a set of rules that dictate how the system escalates the status of an object from each of the possible platform states:

  • Pending

  • Ok

  • Warn

  • Error

And if needed, to send an alert notification.

Note: Only ‘Error’ and ‘Ok’ Events can generate an alert and email notification.

The Event Profile rule table consists of various rules that will determine any alerting actions taken by ZEN Master depending upon the object type the profile is applied to.

These profiles are not actually applied until they are associated with the various resources or streaming components within ZEN Master during the object's configuration. See Applying Event Profiles below.
