Creating an HTTP Push Output in Feeder

The HTTP Push Output will output the stream as a Transport Stream over HTTP to a target URL.

To Create an HTTP Push Output:

  1. In the Outputs page of Zixi Feeder, click the + New Output button in the menu bar. 
    The New output window is displayed:
     
  2. Type the unique identifier for this output in the Name
  3. In the Type field, select HTTP Push.
  4. In the Input Name drop-down list, select the desired input stream.  
  5. Select the Program from the drop-down list.
  6. Select the Filter for the output from the drop-down list.
  7. If you would like to add this stream to an Output Group, select an existing Group from the dropdown list OR create a new group by clicking (see Output Parameters Table below for additional details).
  8. Enter the URL of the target.
  9. Click OK.
    The new HTTP Push Output with its settings is created and now appears in the list of outputs.

Specify the unique name for the stream.

Type

Specify the output type. Select HTTP Push.

Input


Input Name

Select the Input which has been previously configured as an Input in the Feeder.

Program

If you have created a filter, you can select the relevant program.

Filter

If you have created a filter, you can select the relevant filter.

Properties


Group

If your deployment includes a DNS Load Balancer, it is possible to group multiple outputs into a single Output Group. All the outputs created in Zixi Feeder within the same group and with the same host name, will be resolved into the same IP address. You can create a new output group or use an existing group. See Output Groups.

URL

Specify the URL of the target.
