For each Zixi Broadcaster component that has been added to the cluster, you will need to configure the connection of the Zixi Broadcaster (using its Zixi Broadcaster UI). This includes configuring the SSH tunnel.

To connect the Zixi Broadcaster:

  1. In ZEN Master, in the main navigation, click Settings.
  2. In the SSH Keys tab, click Download on the relevant SSH Key to download key to your machine.
  3. In the main navigation, click Broadcasters.
  4. Select the relevant cluster from the list of existing clusters.
  5. At the bottom of the screen, click the Broadcasters tab.
  6. Click Configuration Help.
  7. In the Configuration Help screen, select the relevant Broadcaster from the drop-down list.
The Configuration help instructions are shown, containing specific configuration settings for the selected Broadcaster. You will be using the settings that are shown in section 2 of this page to connect the Zixi Broadcaster (host, user, and remote source port), so you should write them down or keep this browser tab open while you configure the Zixi Broadcaster.
  8. Login to the Zixi Broadcaster UI (it could be a locally installed Zixi Broadcaster, e.g. http://localhost:4444 or a remote Zixi Broadcaster).
  9. Go to Settings > SSH Connections.
  10. Click + Add Connection.
The Add SSH Connection dialog opens:
  11. In the Host field, enter the host name that appeared in the Configuration Help.
  12. Click Apply.
  13. Click Edit Credentials.
  14. In the User field, enter the User that appeared in the Configuration Help.
  15. In the Key File field, click Upload Key and select the SSH key file.
  16. Click Apply.
  17. In the Reverse Tunnels section (at the bottom) click Add.
    The Tunnel Details dialog opens:
  18. In the Remote Source Port field, enter the Remote Source Port value that appeared in the Configuration Help.
  19. Click OK.
