This sections provides basic instructions on how to connect your OnAir app to a Zixi Broadcaster and start streaming video from your device. You will need to know the following info in order to configure your OnAir settings[1]:
The Hostname or IP address of the Zixi Broadcaster[2]
The protocol being used (Zixi Push or RTMP)
The Channel ID (If the Manual Method was used, then this must be identical to the Stream ID configured in the broadcaster. If the Automatic Method was used, then you can enter any Channel ID that you like and this will be shown as the Stream ID when the Input is created in the broadcaster.)
The Password (if one was used)
The interface differs slightly for iOS and Android devices. All screenshots are shown for iOS devices. Procedures are given for iOS with variations for Android in parenthesis.
[1] If you did not configure the Zixi Broadcaster yourself, then you must obtain this info from the Zixi Administrator who configured the broadcaster.
[2] It is also possible to send the stream to an external RTMP server. To do so, enter the URL of the server, and the Username and Password of your account.
