Zen Master automatically sends email notifications about errors that occur in the system to all relevant parties. The default notification behavior is that whenever an object (i.e. Feeder, Broadcaster, Receiver, Source, Channel or Target) in the system enters an Error state as well as  when the error is resolved, all users that have access to that object are notified. You can customize the settings for when and to whom notifications are sent.

This section explains the information shown on the Notification screen and the actions that are available on this screen. For a complete discussion of configuring notifications in ZEN Master, see Notifications.

The Notifications screen has three sections:

  • Errors – shows listings for each of the exceptions to the default notification procedures.
  • Warnings – shows the default settings for automatic escalation from Warning to Error state. It also shows listings for each specific warning escalation policy.
  • Flapping Detection – shows the settings for 'Flapping Detection', which automatically mutes notifications for objects that frequently change states.

  • No labels
