Directly connect a laptop to an available NIC on the rear panel and follow the desired option:
1 – Set the laptop network interface controller static IP to any on the range other than the default 50.50.50.50 / 255.255.255.0
2 – Alternatively, using the Zixi Appliance front panel, set ETH1 to the desired IP as described in section 06
3 – Option 1 – Browser access to Zixi Broadcaster
For Zixi open a browser to:
URL: http://[TARGET IP]/[MANAGEMENT PORT] (i.e. http://50.50.50.50:4444)
User: admin
Password: 1234
4 – Option 2 – Basic SSH to the Linux Operating System:
Open Putty on the connected laptop (Download http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html)
Open an SSH session to the target IP (i.e.50.50.50.50)
Credentials user: zixi / password: zixi1234 or user: root / password: zixiroot1234
