The A Live Event Manual Controls can be used when in Manual Mode to control the Live Event or to override the schedule of the Automatic Mode.
in Auto Mode will automatically start, and then proceed through the pre-defined stages, based upon the configured start time and starget durations. If at any time you need to override the pre-configure changes, the event screen provides action controls to drop or go back to slate, and to immediately advance or delay the next stage transition. This is useful for unforseen changes to schedules such game delays, or event extensions, etc.
For Events set to Manual the times are guidelines only, and the event must be started, and the stages advanced, manually via the action controls. This mode is ideal for predefined occasional-use workflows with approximate or even unknown start times, such as breaking news.
- Go to Slate / Drop Slate – this slate switching control will update the controlled channels to either drop, or go to slate, accordingly. The event, however, will remain in the current stage.
- Switch to Manual Mode – switches from auto mode to manual mode. In this mode you control when to move to the next stage (i.e., the original schedule is disregarded). This is usually used when there is a game extension/overtime. While in manual mode you will still see the countdown of each stage, but it will not actually move to the next stage automatically. Switch to Auto Mode – switches from manual mode to auto mode. In this mode the system will automatically move between the stages automatically, according to the pre-configured scheduleDuring an active Auto Mode event, at any time the event can be switched to manual and will obey only manual actions for the rest of the event. Once an event has switched to Manual Mode this action is final and the stages must be advanced manually for the event to complete.
- Start Next Stage – manually advances the event to the next stage. This control will override the automatic mode scheduleIf the event is in Auto Mode, the following transition will occur automatically per the pre-configured stage duration.
- End Event - manually ends This action immediately moves the event . This control will override the automatic mode scheduleto the completed stage, bypassing any intermediate stage and slating configurations.
