You can add a source through the Sources screen, designating the originating Zixi Feeder and the Ingest Cluster for the source. Before you can configure a source in ZEN the relevant input stream must already be configured on the Feeder.
To add a Source:
- In the main navigation, click Sources.
- Click + Add.
The New Source selection window is displayed.

The New Source window opens.
- In the Name field, type a logical name for the source.
- In the Access Tag field, for the current use case select Default from the drop-down list. To learn more about using Access Tags to control access to resources see Zen Master User Guide.
- In the Ingest Cluster field, select from the drop-down list one of the available Ingest Clusters as the destination for the Source.
- In the Feeder field, select from the drop-down list the Feeder from which the stream will be received.
- In the Feeder Input field, select from the drop-down list one of the available input streams.
- If you would like to enable the Zixi auto encryption feature for encryption of the source stream, select the Encrypt
- In the Max Bitrate field, select a value that is higher than the expected bitrate of the source.
- In the Latency [ms] field, select the latency value for the stream.
- In the Source Password field, specify a new password that will be used by Broadcaster to authenticate the stream. Click RND to generate a random password.
- Click Save.
