Click on one of the sources to display information about the Source, divided into tabs, at the bottom of the screen.

The Details pane contains buttons for taking the following actions on the selected source:

  • Acknowledge/Clear Acknowledgment (for sources in disconnected status) – mark/clear the status of this source as acknowledged.
  • Mute/Clear Mute – disables/activates notification for error/recovery events. Set the date and time when the mute will automatically be cleared by clicking on the down arrow and selecting mute until.
  • Edit – enables you to edit the source configuration.
  • Disable/Enable – Disabling a source stops all active streams for that source without deleting the configuration of the source.
  • Delete – deletes the source configuration.

The Details tab The Details section shows the following information:

Parameter

Description

Name

The name of the Source.

Ingest Cluster

The name of the Ingest Cluster where the source is located. (Includes a link to view details about the Broadcaster Cluster.)

View SourcePlay

Downloads a .vlc stream file that is automatically played back in the VLC player with the necessary parameters to view the Zixi stream (Requires Zixi VLC Plugin). This source stream is played back directly from the Zixi Broadcaster and can be used to preview the stream before any channel processing. The playback is only possible when the session is active. This means that you must be logged in to view the content, see Viewing Preview in VLC.

Access Tags

The Access Tag/s that is associated with this source.
You can edit the access tag/s as follows: click the  icon. Then, delete the current tag by clicking the "X" next to the tag and/or add a new access tag/s by selecting one or more tags from the drop-down list.

ModeType

The mode type of the source Source in ZEN Master . Possible modes are:

  • Monitor – the input was independently configured on a Broadcaster cluster and ZEN Master is only being used to monitor the source.
  • Configure & Monitor – the input was configured and added to a Broadcaster cluster in ZEN Master

    e.g. Broadcaster, Feeder, Monitor Only, RIST etc.

    Note: a “To MediaConnect” Source is a Source created in ZEN Master using Native Flow Management, a “From MediaConnect” Source is a Source that receives a stream from MediaConnect using Partial Integration, see Adding a Source - AWS MediaConnect.

    Input (for Configure & Monitor mode)

    The name of the Input stream.

    Max Bitrate (for Configure & Monitor mode)

    The maximal bitrate for the sourceSource.

    Latency (for Configure & Monitor mode)

    The latency value for the source. Source PasswordThe password to connect the source. Click show to display the password.

    Public Output

    This is a Zixi URL for stream playback. If a password was configured for the public output authorization, then the password is included in the URL.

    Stream Information

    On the right-hand side of the screen is a stream information tree that displays cumulative statistics regarding the stream.

    Sources (for Hitless Failover)

    Shows information about each of the Sources that is included in the failover group.

    Bonding (for Network Bonding)Shows all of the NICs being used for this stream and their IP addresses. It also shows the bitrate and Up time for each connectionSource IPThe IP address of the Source's input resource.

    Source Password

    The password to connect the Source. Click show to display the password.

    Bitrate

    The current bitraate of the Source.

    Up Time

    For online Sources, shows the number of hours, minutes and seconds that the Source has been online.
