The ASI output used ASI card to take the transport stream from the ZEC and delivers it through the coax cable. The ASI card is not doing any processing, just moving it from the ZEC to the cable.
To Create an ASI Output:
In the ZEC Outputs page, click .
The New Output window is displayed.Type in the unique identifier for this output in the Output Name.
Select an Input Stream to be made available on this output from the adjacent drop-down list.
Select the Show in Matrix check box to display this stream in the Matrix (see Using the Matrix). Default: Selected.
Select ASI.
Enter the Output Parameters (see Output Stream Parameters Table).
Click OK.
The new ASI Output with its settings is created and now appears on the screen.
Output Stream Parameters Table
Parameter | Description |
Output Parameters | |
Card | Select the port number that corresponds to the port numbers on the ASI card. |
Stuffing | Select this checkbox to achieve CBR (constant bitrate) by padding the ASI stream with TS null packets. |
PLL | Select this checkbox to enable a phase-locked loop. A phase-locked loop or phase lock loop (PLL) is a control system that generates an output signal whose phase is related to the phase of an input signal. When selecting this option, the system will adjust the bitrate that is sent according to the fullness rate of the output buffer. |
Initial buffer time | To avoid underflows, specify the output buffer size that will be filled before starting the transmission. |

Enable Decryption | Select this checkbox to decrypt an encrypted stream. |
Decryption type | If the stream has been encrypted, you can decrypt through the output by selecting this checkbox and specifying the type of encryption that was used. Select Automatic to decrypt a stream that has been encrypted using Automatic encryption. Only if the stream has not been encrypted, select None (default). Important Notice: if the stream has been encrypted you must decrypt it in the output. |
Decryption key | If the decryption type includes a key, enter the key to decrypt the stream during output. |
