The global search feature enables you to search all objects (i.e. Feeders, Broadcasters, Receivers, Sources, Channels and Targets) in the system. This makes it simple to access data about objects in the system. The search results screen includes a link to view each object on the main screen for that type of object (i.e. view feeders on the Feeders screen). For example, if you want to find out about the status and usage of resources in the United States you could type in "US" and all objects that have US in their names are displayed. You can then view data about each relevant resource.
The global search only shows results for names of system objects, as opposed to the local search box on specific screens which shows results for all relevant parameters.
To search for objects in the system.
- Enter the search character string in the search box (above the main navigation).
- Click the search button .
The search results are shown on the Search screen. The results include a list of objects with the search string in their names. The search results are grouped by object type. For each resource and system object, the current status is shown as well as a link to view detailed info for that object on the main screen for that object type. - Click View next to an object to view detailed data about that object.
- If you would like to adjust the search string, edit the string shown in the search box at the top of the screen and click Search.
