PID Mapping Profiles

You can apply PID mapping to Sources in ZEN Master (for v14+ Broadcasters). This enables you to ensure that the PIDs will have the desired values when they arrive downstream at the Target. This is done by first creating a PID Mapping profile which specifies which PIDs will be processed and defining how they will be handled.
PIDs can be specified for processing by specific PID numbers or they can be identified by category or type (i.e. codec). You can also designate specific PIDS to be nulled or removed completely from the stream.
For PMTs (Program Map Table), in addition to mapping the PIDs, you can also map the Program Numbers.
Mapping Program Numbers is supported for Zixi Broadcaster version 14.0.40996+.
Once you have created a PID Mapping profile you can apply it to a standard Source in ZEN Master (Zixi, UDP/RTP, SRT or RIST) by selecting the PID Mapping profile during the Source configuration. This causes the same mapped stream to be sent to all Targets that receive that Source.
Alternatively, you can create a new PID Mapping Source from an existing Source. This enables you to maintain the original Source with the original PID values. You can then set up multiple Sources with different PID mappings so that you can send differently mapped streams to different Targets.
