Adding UDP Streams to Receiver

By adding a UDP input stream,  the Receiver can receive UDP/RTP/RTP + SMPTE 2022 FEC streams.  

To Add a UDP Stream:

  1. In the Zixi Receiver Inputs page, click the + New Input button in the Menu bar.
    The Stream details screen is displayed.

  2. Select UDP for the Input stream.

  3. Enter the unique Input Name (an internal name) for the stream.

  4. Enter the Stream Parameters (see Input Stream Parameters Table below).

  5. Click OK.
    The “Input added” message appears on the top of the screen. The UDP Stream is added to the Zixi Receiver and now appears in the list of Input streams available.

Input Name

Specify the internal name for the input stream.

Multicast IP

Specify the multicast address when the input stream is transmitted over multicast. Leave blank if Unicast.

Port

Specify the port to listen on. This port must be open on the Zixi Receiver. This port must be open on all firewalls between the Zixi Receiver and other devices it is communicating with.

Local Interface

Specify the local IP address. Or select Any to enable connecting through any available IP address.
