To Create UDP Outputs:
- In the Zixi Receiver Outputs page, click button.
- Select UDP as the output type. The Stream details window is displayed.
- Type in the unique identifier for this output in the Name field.
In the Primary source drop-down list, select the desired input stream.
Note: First time an output stream is being configured a Primary source must be selected, on subsequent times a Fallback source can be chosen.
- Specify the Output parameters (see Receiver Outputs Stream Table).
In the Host field, specify the IP address of the stream destination.
Note: In the case of multi-cast specify an address that will identify it as such.
- In the Port field, specify the port of the destination.
- In the NIC field, select the network card from which the stream will be transmitted.
- Click OK. The new UDP Output with its settings is created and now appears on the Outputs screen.
Receiver Output Stream Table
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Output Parameters |
|
Name | Specifies the unique name of the stream. |
Primary source | Multiple sources are designated for redundancyand can be used by default according to a certain hierarchy. Specify the unique Stream ID that the remote receiver expects. Must be identical to the one on the Broadcaster. The drop-down list consists of all those previously configured inputs on the Receiver |
Host | Specifies the IP address of the stream destination. |
Port | Specifies the ports to listen to for the output streams. |
NIC | Specifies the Network card used on the Receiver. |
TTL | Specifies the time-to-live (TTL). Used to limit the range (or “scope”) of a multicast transmission. |
PCR Smoothing [ms] | Enables transmission of the output at the correct rate. Required when the receiving device is sensitive and can’t lock on to the stream (in such a case, the recommended latency is 100 - 1000 ms). |
RTP | Enables the Real-time Transport Protocol |
SMPTE 2022 FEC | Specifies the FEC (Forward Error Correction) mode. |
Remux | Enables remuxing to CBR (used for professional IRDs) thus avoiding bandwidth waste. |
Bitrate [kbps] | Specifies the CBR bitrate to target for a remuxed stream. |
