You can add a task to enable or disable one or more specific object instances or all objects of a particular type that are associated with the specified Access Tags.

To create a new Enable/Disable task:

  1. In the main navigation, click Automation.
    The Automation screen opens.
  2. Select the Task Set for which you would like to add a task.
    Details of the selected Task Set are shown at the bottom right side of the screen.
  3. Click on the Tasks tab.
  4. Click + Add Task.
    The Add Create New Task window is displayed.

  5. In the Info section, in the Name field, enter a name for this task.
  6. In the Configuration section, in the # of Minutes… field, specify the number of minutes to delay starting this task from the beginning of the execution of the Task Set. The default value is "0" meaning that the task begins immediately when the Task Set is run.
  7. In the Task Type field, select from the dropdown menu list Enable/Disable.
  8. Select the radio button of the action that you would like to take. Options are: Enable or Disable.
  9. In the Enable By section, select the radio button for Under Enable By (or Disable By), select the way that you would like to define what objects the task applies to. One or more objects enables you to specify the particular object instances to include in the task. Objects based on type and access tags enables you to specify the type of objects and associated Access Tags to include in the task.
  10. Specify the objects as follows:
    • If you selected One or more objects
      1. Click on the field of an object type that you would like to include.
        A dropdown list of relevant object instances is displayed.
      2. Select one or more object instance of that typeClick on the desired object instance.
      3. If you would like to add additional instances of the same object type, click on the object type field again and select additional instances.
      4. If you would like to add instances of different object types, click on the field for each additional object type and select one or more object instances of that the relevant instances for each type.
    • If you selected Objects based on type and access tags
      1. Select the checkbox next to each of the object types that you would like to include.
      2. In the Access Tags field, select from the dropdown list one or more Access Tags.

        When Objects based on type and access tags is selected, only objects instances which are of the specified type and are associated with the specified Access Tag are included in the task. Therefore, at least one object type and one Access Tag must be selected.

        When Objects based on type and access tags is selected, the determination of which object instances are included in the task is made at the time of each execution of the task. So, for example, if the specified Access Tag was assigned to 5 Sources at the time of the initial run and was then assigned to two additional Sources prior to the second run, then the second run of the task will apply to all 7 Sources.

  11. In the # of Minutes… field, specify the number of minutes to delay starting this task from the beginning of the execution of the Task Set. The default value is "0" meaning that the task begins immediately when the Task Set is run.

  12. Click Save.
    The task is added to the specified Task Set.
