In order that for the Broadcaster can to switch from one encoding into to another, different profiles must be configured first.
Supported Video and Audio formats include:
- Video (decoding):
- Decoding – MPEG2, H.264 Video (encoding):
- /AVC , H.265/HEVC
- Video Encoding – MPEG2, H.264 Audio (decoding): MPEG1 layers
- /AVC , H.265/HEVC
- Audio Decoding – AAC, MPEG-1 Audio Layer I / II / III (MP3), AACAudio (encoding): AAC, AC3(pass-through
- , MPEG-2 Audio Layer I / II / III
- Audio Encoding – AAC only, AAC only; Pass through – any audio codec (MPEG1/2 / AAC / AC-3)
AC3 is supported as pass-through (no decoding and no encoding)
The transcoder comes with the following pre-set common video profiles:
1080i60 / 1080i59.94, 1080p30 / 1080p25, 720p60, 720p50 / 720p30, 576i60 / 576p25, 480i60 / 480p29.97
However you can define your own custom profiles.
To Create a New Profile:
- From In the Transcoder page, click on the upper right-hand corner of the screen. The Add New Profile window is displayed:
- Select the desired Profile type - MPEG2, H.264, H.265 for video profile and AAC for audio profile.
- Enter in the desired fields in the Profile configuration (see table below for additional parameters).
Selecting a specific configured Preset will fill in the settings automatically or alternatively leaving the default as Custom requires you to configure it by yourself. - If you want to configure the Advanced options for the H.264 profilevideo profiles, select Advanced options and fill out the respective fields (see table below for additional parameters).
- Click Apply.
The newly configured profile is created and appears on the screen.
