You can record the streams of an adaptive group. The stream will be stored as .TS files and organized in folders. The time in which the recording will be kept on the server is defined in the Adaptive Group configuration.

To Record an Adaptive GroupZixi Broadcaster can generate links to play the Adaptive Group stream in MPEG DASH format. 

To Play MPEG DASH:

1. In the Zixi Broadcaster Adaptive Groups page, click the desired adaptive group that you want
to record
2. to playback.

3.  Click the Image Modified  button on the selected row and then
choose Record. A  small red dot appears in the green circle at the left-hand side of the selected row indicating that the adaptive group is being recorded.

4. To stop recording, in the Actions menu click Stop Recording.  A newly recorded file will appear in the designated file directory in the Files page.

1. click Play Dash. 
   The following window is displayed:

2. Do one of the following:
   • If you have a locally installed MPEG DASH compatible player - click the link to stream the data to your player. 
   • If you DO NOT have a player - click Play from server. The stream will open in a web-based player.  
3. Click Close when finished.
