You can add a task to remove one or more Targets from a Channel. You can select one or more specific Targets or all Targets of a particular type.
To create a new Remove Targets from Channel task:
- In the main navigation, click Automation.
The Automation screen opens. - Select the Task Set for which you would like to add a task.
Details of the selected Task Set are shown at the right side of the screen. - Click on the Tasks tab.
- Click + Add Task.
The Create New Task window is displayed.
Image Added - In the Info section, in the Name field, enter a name for this task.
- In the Configuration section, in the # of Minutes… field, specify the number of minutes to delay starting this task from the beginning of the execution of the Task Set. The default value is "0" meaning that the task begins immediately when the Task Set is run.
- In the Task Type, field select from the dropdown list Remove Targets from Channel.
- Under Remove Targets from Channel By, select the way that you would like to define what objects the task applies to. One or more objects enables you to specify the particular object instances to include in the Task. Objects based on type and tags enables you to specify the type of objects and associated Tags to include in the task.
- Specify the objects as follows:
- If you selected One or more objects –
- Click on the Select Targets field.
A dropdown list of Targets is displayed. Click on the desired Targets.
- If you would like to add additional Targets, click on the Targets field again and select additional Targets.
- Click on the Select Targets field.
- If you selected Objects based on type and tags –
- Select the checkbox next to the desired type of Targets. Options are: HTTP Targets, RTMP Targets, UDP/RTP Targets, RIST Targets, Pull Targets or Push Targets.
In the Tags field, select from the dropdown list one or more Tags.
Info When Objects based on type and tags is selected, only objects instances which are of the specified type and are associated with the specified Tag are included in the task. Therefore, at least one object type and one Tag must be selected.
Info When Objects based on type and tags is selected, the determination of which object instances are included in the task is made at the time of each execution of the task. So, for example, if the specified Tag was assigned to 5 Sources at the time of the initial run and was then assigned to two additional Sources prior to the second run, then the second run of the task will apply to all 7 Sources.
- If you selected One or more objects –
- Click Save.
The task is added to the specified Task Set.
