To Create UDP Outputs:
- In the Zixi Receiver Outputs page, click button.Outputs page, click the + New Output
- Select UDP as the output type (default).
The Stream details window is displayed. - Type in
Enter the unique identifier for this output in the Name field
. In the Primary source drop-down list, select the desired input stream
.(to learn more about sources see Managing Sources for High Availability)
Info Note: First The first time an output stream is being configured a Primary source must be selected, on subsequent times a Fallback source can be chosen.selected
Specify the Output parameters (see Receiver
Outputs StreamOutput Parameters Table).
In the Host field, specify the IP address of the stream destination.
Info Note: In In the case of multi-cast multicast specify an address that will identify it as such.
- In the Port field, specify the port of the destination.
- In the NIC field, select the network card from which the stream will be transmitted.
- Click OK.
The new UDP Output with its settings is created and now appears on the Outputs screen.

Parameters Table
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Output Parameters |
|
Name | Specifies Specify the unique name of the stream. |
Primary source | Multiple sources are designated for redundancyandredundancy and can be used by default according to a certain hierarchy . Specify the unique Stream ID that the remote receiver expects. Must be identical to the one on the Broadcaster. The drop-down list consists of all those previously configured inputs on the Receiver. Select the desired input stream that will be the primary source. To add an additional (fallback) source, see Adding Output Sources. |
Host | Specifies Specify the IP address of the stream destination. |
Port | Specifies Specify the ports to listen to for the output streams. |
NIC | Specifies Specify the Network card used on the Receiver. |
TTL | Specifies Specify the time-to-live (TTL). Used to limit the range (or “scope”) of a multicast transmission. |
PCR Smoothing [ms] | Enables Specify the PCR smoothing latency. This enables transmission of the output at the correct rate. RequiredThis is required when the receiving device is sensitive and can’t lock on to the stream (in such a case, the recommended latency is 100 - 1000 ms). |
RTP | Enables Click the checkbox to enable the Real-time Transport Protocol. |
SMPTE 2022 FEC | Specifies Specify the FEC (Forward Error Correction) mode. Options are: Disable (default), 1D and 2D. Disables the FEC or specifies the type of FEC matrix to D1/ D2. |
Remux | Enables Click the checkbox to enable remuxing to CBR (used for professional IRDs) thus avoiding bandwidth waste. |
Bitrate [kbps] | Specifies Specify the CBR bitrate to target for a remuxed stream. |
