Network Settings |
|
eth0 | Click to configure the specified NIC. Displys Displays the following parameters: - Speed – the network card speed
- Duplex – whether the network card is full-duplex or half-duplex
- MTU - the size of the largest protocol data unit (PDU) that can be communicated in a single network layer transaction.
- PCI – the PCI slot number.
- Driver – the driver that is installed.
- Bonding – bonding allows you to send packets over multiple networks. Since one network may charge more than the other, you can set one network to primary and the other to backup, this way all the traffic will be sent over the cheaper primary network and then fall back to the backup (if primary is too congested).
- Primary – sets this NIC as a primary network
- Backup – sets this NIC as a backup network
- Don’t use – disables this NIC
- Routes – specifies the configured network routing for the NIC
- Statistics – click to display network statistics for this NIC
- Administration IP – indicates that the NIC is allocated for administration. At least one NIC needs to be used for admin.
- Enable/Disable DPDK – in case of multiple NICs it is possible to enable High Performance Networking (DPDK). Click to enable/disable DPDK
