Content Comparison

To install Zixi VLC plug-in, you must first download and install the VLC player.

To download and install VLC Player:

1. Download the 32-bit VLC player version from the following URL URLs:
   • Windows - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
   #download   Note: The -win32- VLC plug-in only works with 32-bit VLC.  A plug-in for 64-bit VLC is not currently available
   • download-windows.html

   • Mac - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html.

     For Mac version – download from the website only, do not download from the App Store. Make sure you download the latest version VLC player only.

     
     

2. Run installer and follow the default Installation settings
3. Exit the VLC player.

To install the Zixi VLC Plug-in:

1. Download the Zixi VLC Plug in from:
   • http://downloads.zixi.com/free/zixi_vlc_plugin-win32-1.11-latest.zip
   • http://downloads.zixi.com/free/zixi_vlc_plugin-mac-1.11-latest.tar.gz
2. Ensure that VLC is not running before installing the Zixi VLC Plug-In.
3. Double click the Zixi VLC plug-In executable (e.g. zixi_vlc_plugin-win32-1.9.0.21770.exe)
   The setup wizard automatically installs and configures the Zixi VLC Plug-In     In. 
4. Click ‘Close’ Close when the setup wizard completes.
